Edith L. Callahan “Aunt E” Hanson, a native of Mobile and a longtime resident of Daphne, died Saturday, May 9, 2009 at a local healthcare facility.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Pearl Callahan and by two brothers.
Survivors include two sisters, Beverly Penry and Sharron Beaty, both of Daphne; four dearly loved nieces, Michelle Beaty and Susan Beaty of Daphne; Skye Southwick of Wetumpka, and Beth Worsham of Phoenix; two grand nieces, Lily Southwick and Ellie Worsham; two grand nephews, Finn Southwick and Sam Beaty a host of cousins and special friends.
Visitation and Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday, May 13 at Christ the King Catholic Church with Monsignor Timothy Deasy as celebrant. Burial followed at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Covenant Hospice, 1040 Stanton Road, Daphne, AL 36526.
Arrangements were made by Hughes Cremation & Funeral Service, Daphne.
