Harlen Lewis, age 76, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012 in Bay Minette.

Lewis was a native of Hamilton, Ala and a former resident of Spanish Fort, and a resident of Perdido, for the past 4 years. Lewis worked for the Salvation Army Community Ministries. Formerly owned Lewis Vinyl Tops in Spanish Fort. Lewis attended the Hall’s Fork Assembly of God Church. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Jones Lewis of Perdido; two sons, Rodney Lewis of Spanish Fort, and Richard Lewis of Rockton, Ill; four stepsons; one daughter, Lauri Lewis of Archibold, Ohio; two stepdaughters; one brother, Ray Lewis of Tallahassee, Fla; three sisters, Maylene Kelly of Adrian, Mich; Germinelle White of Cullman, Ala and Nelligene Nix of Rosseann, Ohio; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Wendell Hadley officiating. Burial will follow at Perdido Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 from 1 p.m. until funeral time at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Dallas Sessions, Fred Lafave, Barry Slay, Matthew Luker, Roney Morris and Daniel Capers. Honorary pallbearer will be Brad Arnold. Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes, LLC in charge of all arrangements, Atmore, Alabama.
