Harold Dwayne “Wayne” Dowsey, 61, a native of Repton and a resident of Fairhope, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011 in a boating accident off the coast of Louisiana, along with his brother, Randy Dowsey.
He was an owner and operator of Dowsey Inc. for over 30 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Tiffany (Tommy) Copeland of Point Clear; the mother of his daughter, Cheri Dowsey of Point Clear; two grandchildren, Gabrielle and Gauge of Point Clear; his mother, Beth Ring of Fairhope; father, Paul J. Dowsey of Silverhill; brother, Mark T. (Lynn) Dowsey of Fairhope; nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 17 from the funeral home chapel. Graveside services will follow at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
