James Leonard Harrison, 78, of Atmore, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007 at his residence.
He was a retired farmer, born March 14, 1929 in Summerdale to Robert Edward and Ida Mae Avera Harrison.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Robert Edward Harrison Jr., and brother-in-law, Roy Moore.
Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Galloway Harrison; three sons, Jimmy (Julia) Harrison, Wayne (Barbara) Harrison, and Dale Harrison, all of Atmore; three sisters, Ruth Moore of Leedey, Okla., Eulala (John) Bauer of Smarr, Ga., and Violet (Albert) Joyner of Mobile; sister-in-law, Bernice Harrison of Atmore; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Atmore.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18 from the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Jim Harrison, Chris Harrison, Glendon Harrison, Travis Harrison, Dustin Harrison, Michael Harrison and John Phillips.
Arrangements are by Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Inc., Atmore.
