Harvey Lenard Blair, age 92 of Silverhill, Alabama passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012.
Mr. Blair was born on December 18th, 1919 in Samson, Alabama. At age 19 he joined the Ready Reserve and served in Panama. During World War II, he served as an aircraft mechanic in the Army Air Corp. He continued his military service with the Army for the next 21 years, including service in Germany, China, Korea, Guam and India. His WWII service included China, Burma, India Theatre. He resided in the Silverhill, Alabama area since 1963. Mr. Blair was predeceased by his wife, Judith Naegele Blair. Mr. Blair is survived by his son, Ernest (Patti) Blair of San Diego, CA, daughters, Debbie (Phil) Owen of Silverhill, AL and Doris (Mike) Vaughn of Purvis, MS; grandchildren, Alex Blair of San Diego, CA, Cinnamon (Chris) Reyes of Silverhilll, AL, Kent Owen of Wuxi, China; and his great grandchild, Colton Reyes of Silverhill, AL. Private graveside services were held Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Silverhill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, Hwy. 59, Robertsdale, AL.
