in McKenzie, Ala. and a resident of Bay Minette, died Saturday,

Dec. 17, 2011 at her residence.

representative for the United Garment Workers of America and the

UFCW, where she held several different offices in the state of

Alabama.

"font-family:">She is survived by her children,

Donnis K Scruggs and Janice S. (George) Smith, both of Bay Minette;

three grandchildren, Carrie S. (Tony) Logan, Aimee S. (Alan) Niesen

and Rusty (Hope) Smith; six great-grandchildren, Cal Logan, Russ

Logan, Keely Smith, Zach Smith, Reed Niesen and Reagan Niesen; a

devoted niece, Sallie Amidon; and her caregivers, Linda Garrick and

Sherry Fisk.

"font-family:">She was preceded in death by her

husband, A.K. Scruggs; her parents, R.T. and Vela Lee Pullen; and

her sister, Julia Boland.

"font-family:">The funeral service will be held

Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011, at 11:30 a.m., at the chapel of Norris

Funeral Home, with Dr. Chip Starnes, the Rev. Luke Tolar and

Chaplin Cindy Still officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette

Cemetery.

Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011 from 10 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. service at

Norris Funeral Home.
