‘Have a New Kid by Friday' parenting classes begin Sunday

SPANISH FORT, Ala. — Providence United Methodist Church invites the community to attend a six-week parenting class titled, “Have a New Kid by Friday: How to Change your Child’s Attitude, Behavior and Character in 5 days.”  The class will be held on Sundays beginning on Sunday at 6 p.m. and ending Oct. 17.

Rev. Bob Sweet anticipates that the class will be an opportunity for mutual support.

“Parenting is a tough job and children do not come with a set of instructions for how to deal with every situation. This class is designed simply to help moms and dads become better parents and to enable them to build relationships with other parents in the community so that our children can grow and flourish.”

The class will be held at the church located at 32200 Jimmy Faulkner Drive, between Spanish Fort middle and high schools. A nursery is provided. Older children may attend the Youth and Children’s Choir (4 years old and above) practice, which is held at the same time as the parenting class.
