Vervel Lue Carrell Haynes, a longtime resident of Gulf Shores, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007 in Russellville, Ark.
She was born Aug. 21, 1933 in Bee Branch, Ark. She was a lifelong housewife and mother. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Gulf Shores, Friends of the Gulf Shores Library and the Women’s Club of Gulf Shores.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Dovie Carrell, and two sisters, Vioda Smith and Katrina Smith.
Survivors include four children, Terry Haynes of Escondido, Calif., Sherry Killingsworth of Russellville, Ark., Carl Haynes of Foley and Larry Haynes of Attalla; brother, Norman Weldon Parish of Nashville, Ark.; 12 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services and visitation were held Wednesday, Oct. 10 from the chapel of Pine Rest Funeral Home. Interment followed at Pine Rest Memorial Park.
Arrangements were made by Pine Rest Funeral Home Inc., Foley.
