Hazel Taylor Bankester, 82, of Fairhope, passed away Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015.
Mrs. Bankester was a 1950 graduate of Choctaw High School, 1953 graduate of Livingston State Teacher’s College and retired after a 29-year teaching career.
She was a member of the Robertsdale United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Joy Sunday School Class and was very active in the Sunshine Program and Ladies Auxiliary.
Mrs. Bankester was preceded in death by her sister, Blanche Morgan.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Edward Bankester; son, Ron (Cindy) Bankester of Spanish Fort; and a brother, Howard Taylor of Montgomery.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015, at 2 p.m., at Robertsdale United Methodist Church.
Interment will be held in Baldwin Memorial Cemetery in Robertsdale.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to services at Robertsdale United Methodist Church.
