The Mighty Band from Lion Land begins the trip to San Antonio on Wednesday for the 2011 Fiesta Flambeau Parade. Foley High School's 200-plus student band left on Wednesday and will return on Sunday. The FHS band is the only band from Alabama out of the 47 high school marching bands participating in the 3.5-mile nighttime parade known as “The People's Parade.” The event will be televised live on Public Broadcasting Service on Saturday evening.
