LILLIAN, Ala. - According to a report received by the Baldwin County Health Department Tuesday from the Baldwin County Sewer Service, a four inch force main was accidentally dug up by the water authority.
The spill, located on Pensacola Drive in the Lillian area, resulted in less than 1000 gallons of sewage being discharged into Peterson Branch.
The health department urges residents to exercise caution if using this body of water for recreational purposes. Also, thoroughly cook any fish or seafood caught nearby and wash hands after handling fish or seafood.
