Helen Grace May, 90, died March 31, 2012 at Creekside Senior Living in Pensacola, Fla.
Helen was born in Dorchester, Mass., April 20, 1921, to Christopher and Mary (Plepis) Petrouskas.
Helen served in the Navy during World War II. While in the Navy, she served in the Judge Advocate General’s office in the War Crimes Division. She met her true love, Robert “Bob” May and married in 1945.
They were blessed with three sons. Before moving to Fairhope in 2005, Helen and Bob lived in West Barnstable, Mass. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Robert “Bob” May.
She is survived by her three sons and their wives, Michael and Eileen May, Indianola, Iowa, David and Cynthia May, Princeton, Mass.; Chris and Denise May, Daphne; four grandchildren, Kathleen May, David May, Amy Tungett and Danielle Parker. She also had five great grandchildren, Jaycie, Jack and Addison Tungett and Laken and Caissen Parker.
Interment services will be Friday, June 29, at 11:30 a.m., at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, Mass., with military honors.
