Helen Griggs Barnhart, 90, a native of Fulton, Mo. and resident of Daphne, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2013.
She worked as a nurse prior to raising her two children.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert Dalton Barnhart; children, Herbert David Barnhart (Debbie) of Davenport, Iowa and Pamela Barnhart Schultz (Kenneth) of Daphne; grandchild, Alexandria Helen Barnhart of Davenport, Iowa; step-grandchildren, Jeremiah Wayne Davis (Belle) of Midland, Texas and Joshua Michael Davis (Ellen) of Davenport, Iowa; great-grandchildren, Alysha Marie Turner of Davenport, Iowa and Ava Joann Turner of Davenport, Iowa; and step-grandchildren, Charles Damian Blaize of Midland, Texas, Moorea Belle Blanchard of Midland, Texas, Addilyn Michelle Davis of Davenport, Iowa and Anna Lee Davis of Midland, Texas.
Memorial services will be held at Spanish Fort United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2013. Interment will be held at a later date in Rolla, Mo.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Spanish Fort United Methodist Church, 6690 Spanish Fort Blvd., Spanish Fort, AL 36527, or Westminster Village.
