Helen Martin Taylor, 92, a former resident of Millington, Tenn., died at her home in Foley on Sunday, June 23, 2013.
Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband, Homer “Bub” Taylor; and her son, Phillip E. “Skip” Taylor.
Together Mr. and Mrs. Taylor volunteered for the American Red Cross Disaster Relief System for more than 20 years. She was a dedicated volunteer for many local organizations, including the South Baldwin Regional Medical Center, Foley United Methodist Church and the Baldwin County Heritage Museum.
Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Foley United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Pat (Lowell) Robison of Memphis, Tenn., five grandchildren, Stacey (Daniel) Rose of Memphis, Courtney (Bruce) Semisch of Oakton, Va., Trey Robison of Memphis, Lisa (Russell) Robinson of Franklin, Tenn. and Jeff (Rebekah) Taylor of Greeneville, Tenn.; five great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Dorothy Martin of Walnut, Ill.; one niece; two nephews; and many other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2013, at 2 p.m., at the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from noon until time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Program, 35 N. Sage Ave., Mobile, AL 36607.
