Mary Elizabeth Helms, 82, a native of Alabama and a resident of Elberta, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008.
She was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Elberta, and worked for the Baldwin County School System until retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Helms, son, Larry Helms, her parents, Pete and Rosa Pluscht Sr., brother, Peter Pluscht Jr.; and twin brother, Joseph Pluscht.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda (Tony) Alms of Elberta; five grandchildren, Lisa (Shawn) Goe, Brian Bodway, Shea (Sonny) Dean, Scott Lambert and Carla Dempsey; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Elberta. Interment follow at Elberta Public Cemetery.
