Hendon Brunson, 50, a native of Mobile and a resident of Daphne, died Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010.

He was a devoted husband, a great father, loving son, brother and friend as well as a dedicated and caring teacher. He was an active member of Daphne United Methodist Church

He loved to travel, camping with family, reading a good book and was passionate about Alabama football. He was creative; always inventing and designing new ideas. He loved to sing and he was a member of the Daphne Methodist Choir and “Runner.”

He was an assistant principal with the Baldwin County Public Schools.

He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Joseph and Velna Bolton and Otis and Irene Brunson.

Survivors include his loving wife of 23 years, Harriett Perry Brunson of Daphne; two children, Bo Brunson and Perry Brunson; his parents, Otis and Jackie Brunson; brother, Darin Brunson; mother-in-law, Bernice Perry; many aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation begins at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10 at the Daphne United Methodist Church Community Life Center with funeral services at 3:30 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Jim Fillingim officiating.

A private interment will be held.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Daphne United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
