Henry C. Schenkenberger, 78, of Foley, passed away March 25, 2015.
Mr. Schenkenberger was a retired United States Air Force veteran, reaching the rank of major.
He was a professor of electronics at DeVry University for 20 years, attended the University of Wyoming and received his master’s at the University of Auburn in Montgomery.
He attended Gulf Shores United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wfe of more than 24 years, Ruth E. Schenkenberger of Foley; three daughters, Kathryn E. Magee of Texas, Diane (Bill) Murphy of Burford, Ga. and Janice Bocock of Savannah, Ga.; two sons, Charles “Skip” Schenkenberger of St. Petersburg, Fla. and David (Donna) Hunsberger of Dacula, Ga.; a sister, Joan (Gene) Thompson of Michigan; a brother, Robert (Rosa) Schenkenberer of Aurora, Colo.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A service with full military honors for Mr. Schenkenberger will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery on NAS Pensacola on Tuesday March 31, 2015 at 9:30 a.m.
