Henry Pelham Thomas Mitchell of Orange Beach passed away at home on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2013 after a short illness. His loving family was at his side.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Holt Searcy Mitchell and Lorene Pelham Mitchell Lucas; and his sister, Peggy.
He leaves to treasure his memories forever his wife of 35 years, Annette Pizzitola Mitchell; mother-in-law, Sue Pizzitola; sister-in-law, Paula (Daniel) Morris; cousin, Ray Pelham; eight godchildren; and a large extended family.
Born in Tampa, Fla. and raised in Greenville, Ala., Henry attended Stark Military Academy and Huntington College.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army.
During his extensive career in the automotive industry, he was employed by several automobile manufacturers, including Chrysler Corp. and Toyota Motor Sales USA before opening his own Chevrolet and Toyota dealerships in the Midwest.
He and his wife retired to the white sands of Orange Beach.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013 at St. Thomas by the Sea Catholic Church, with visitation at 11 a.m. and Mass at noon. Father James Dane will be the celebrant.
