Herbert H. “Bud” Anderson Jr. of Lillian died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010.
He was a charter member of Shepherd of The Bay Lutheran Church, where he served as head elder and president of the Men’s Club. He was a charter member of the Perdido Bay Optimist Club. He served on the Board of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
Survivors include his wife of ver 49 years, Marie Anderson of Lillian; four daughters, Joni (the Rev. Chad) Phillip of Gillett, Ark., Jeana (Scott) Stanley of Waldorf, Md., Jana (Jay) Bocook of Greenville, S.C., Joy (Rick) Wencie) Anderson of Foley; three sisters, Mary (the Rev. Richard) Kennedy of Vining, Minn., Claudette (Gary) Bobleter of Lillian and Denise (Rick) Simms of Walker, La.; and 10 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29 at Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church in Lillian.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church, 12851 Perdido St., Lillian, AL 36549.
