Wallace T. Hernandez, 80, a native of Baton Rouge, La., and a resident of Fairhope, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007.

He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Fairhope. He was a veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Susie Hernandez, sisters, Irene Rogers and Thelma Ludeaux, and brothers, Robert, Gene and Louis Hernandez.

Survivors include his wife, Doris W. Hernandez of Fairhope; a daughter, Sheryl (Chris) Stovall of Orange Beach; grandchildren, Tina (Bryan) Dersch of Fairhope and Jeremiah (Anne) Stovall of Atlanta; great-grandchild, Samuel L. Dersch; devoted nephew, Charles R. Weisgerber of Pasadina, Calif.; many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a memorial mass at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2 at St. George Catholic Church, Baton Rouge, La., with Father Michael Schatzle officiatting.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the Society of St. Vincent De Paul, P.O. Box 127, Baton Rouge, LA 70821-0127.
