GULF SHORES, Ala. — Do you like mysteries? Author Peg Herring, will present a lively hour on the mystery genre at the Thomas B. Norton Public Library in Gulf Shores on Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. Herring is the author of the Simon & Elizabeth mysteries, focusing on Elizabeth Tudor.

The first, “Her Highness’ First Murder,” released in January from Five Star Mysteries, received high praise from critics for historical detail, memorable characters, and a well-drawn, absorbing plot.

Herring speaks to library groups on many topics, drawing on her career as an educator, her love of reading and her experiences in writing and publishing.

Her mystery talk engages readers in discussion of the different types of mystery, from historical to paranormal, and audience members receive a list of both new and established authors in each sub-genre.

Those who attend Herring’s presentations find laughter, interesting anecdotes about authors and books and a chance to share their own favorites.

The library invites everyone to attend and bring a friend to what promises to be a very entertaining evening at your public library.
