Hester Ruth Franklin Booth, 88, born in Brewton, and a resident of Bay Minette, died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at a local hospital. She retired from the Department of Human Resources for the state of Alabama. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, a life member of North Baldwin Infirmary Auxiliary and a member of NARFE Baldwin County Chapter.
She is survived by two nieces, Ila Brown and Marilyn Muzzy both of Pensacola, Fla.; one nephew, Sammy Evans of Brewton; two great nephews, Jay Brown of St. Louis, Mo., and Sean Brown of Valdosta, Ga., and one great niece, Cara Brown of Port Charlotte, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Booth.
Funeral services were Feb. 8 at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Carr officiating. Burial was at Bay Minette Cemetery.
