Eunice Earlean Thomley Hicks, 80, a native and resident of Perdido, died Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at her son’s residence.

She was a seamstress at Vanity Fair and Mannor Slacks.

Survivors include seven children, Donnie (Sandra) Hicks of Rabun, Joseph William (Marie) Hicks of Stapleton, Charles Glen (Diane) Hicks of Phillipsville, Beverly Diane Hicks (Jeff) Caraway of Huxford, Ricky Louis (Sonia) Hicks of Bay Minette, Stephen Ray (Mary) Hicks of Perdido and Eddie (Bess) Gardner of Rabun; brother, Sylvester (Joyce) Thomley of Perdido; five sisters, Eula (Elzie) Hadley and Flora Peacock, both of Perdido, Aileen (Olben) Quinley of White House Fork, Jean Brown (Max) White of Perdido and Frankie Lou (Wendell) Hall of Bay Minette; 39 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William David Hicks; two sons, Dalton David Hicks and J.W. Hicks; and her brother, Elijah Thomley.

Funeral services were held Thursday, April 1 at the Pleasant Plains Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Wendell Hadley and the Rev. James Peacock officiating. Burial followed at Bryars McGill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Darrin Gardner, Ryne Hicks, Corey Hicks, Jeremy Hicks, Phillip Hicks, Chuck Hicks, Brandon Hicks, Quence Caraway and Trenton Daniel. Honorary pallbearer was Chase Daniel.

Arrangements were made by Norris Funeral Home, Bay Minette.
