Teens developed an appreciation for classical music during their January Teen Advisory Board Meeting.

Area teens listened to Beethoven’s 5th Symphony and Mozart’s Turkish March during the Jan. 8 meeting of the Teen Advisory Board.

Shari Crutchfield presented a music workshop that highlighted the life and works of Ludwig van Beethoven and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Teen members had the opportunity to write and share their responses after listening to the classical pieces.

Kaitlyn Ernandez said Beethoven’s 5th Symphony “reminds me of two love birds in a tree on a calm beautiful day, sun shining, birds singing, light wind then a large storm. But, they survived the storm and woke up like the day before.”

A social time and light refreshments concluded the meeting.

Area teens are invited to attend the Feb. 12 meeting at 3:45 pm.
