Hightower Family Chiropractic in Foley collects 700 pounds of food for Ecumenical Ministries

FOLEY, Alabama — On Nov. 7-10, Dr. Richard Hightower and staff of Hightower Family Chiropractic of Foley, offered their services to the people of the Baldwin County communities.

Since opening in May of 1999, they have experienced tremendous growth through which they have helped hundreds of people with health care needs.

"With the end of this year, we again realized that it was our time to show appreciation to our patients," said Hightower.

Hightower Family Chiropractic recently held its 11th annual Patient Appreciation Days. For the first two days, all existing patients received free chiropractic treatments. Then on Wednesday, any new patients were invited for consultation and x-rays. Children 14 and under were given free scoliosis screenings.

“All that was asked in return was a donation of non-perishable food item for the Ecumenical Ministries - a United Way agency,” Hightower said. “We sincerely hoped that this effort would be a blessing to the less fortunate in our area. Also, we hoped to have instilled upon each one that the Ecumenical Ministries helps those in need all year long and not just during holidays. This year, thanks to the generosity of our patients, we collected over 700 pounds of food."
