Hilliard “Hilo” Middleton, 75, a native and resident of Loxley, died Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011. He served 20 years in the U.S. Coast Guard and worked as a barber for more than 50 years.
He was a 32-degree Mason and a member of Robertsdale Masonic Lodge No. 821. Mr. Middleton was a former Baldwin County Commissioner.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Middleton; sister, Annette Middleton; and brothers, Elmer Middleton, Wayne Middleton, Shelton Middleton and Ray Gene Middleton.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Middleton of Loxley; four daughters, LaNelle (Dean) York of Summerdale, and Sherry (Terry) Ott, Lorna (Earl) Steadham and Ginger (Stacy) Loftin, all of Loxley; two sons, David Murray (Ann) Middleton of Clemmons, N.C. and Troy (Christina) Middleton of Loxley; two brothers, Leland (Laura) Middleton of Cathleen, Ga. and Zollie (Agnes) Middleton of Loxley; stepdaughter, Debra (Wilbur) Wynn of Alabaster, Ala.; two stepsons, Marcus Musick of Loxley and Kevin (Mellisa) Musick of Cottondale, Ala.; 19 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011, at 2 p.m., at Mack Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in New Cooper Cemetery, Robertsdale.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept. 28, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Mack Funeral Home.
