Florence Burns Hilsenbeck, 91, a native of Kimberlin Heights, Tenn., and a resident of Westminster Village, Spanish Fort, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009.
She received her B.S. in nursing from Vanderbilt University and was a longtime resident of Miami, here she was director of Nursing at North Shore Hospital.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia DePoyster of Decatur; three sons, Charles Hilsenbeck of Boca Raton, Fla.; John Hilsenbeck of Knoxville, Tenn., and Richard Hilsenbeck of Tallahassee, Fla.; two sisters Minnie Fugate and Myrtle Grant, 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She will be inurned in the Hopwood Memorial Chapel of Milligan College in Johnson City, Tenn., where a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are by Hughes Cremation & Funeral Service, Daphne.
