FOLEY - Some 400 voices strong rang forth from the Foley Civic Center on Saturday and Sunday at the Hispanic Festival.

This event is a program of the Alabama-West Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church’s Connectional Ministries. Most of the leadership was local, including Mobile, yet Evangelist Josmur Alvarez, a native of Cuba, came from Kentucky for the occasion. Expectations call for a greater festival in the coming year.

The United Methodist Church promotes many Connectional Ministries. A special course for women is being conducted at the Foley Methodist Church at 915 N. Pine St. on Sept. 22 at 3:30 p.m.

This is a free clinic conducted by image consultant Evelyn Sotelo. Summerdale Methodist Women are also invited.
