MARLOW — Alabama State Troopers are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred overnight in the Marlow community earlier this week.
According to authorities, evidence suggests that a bicyclist was westbound on County Road 28 just west of Annie Cooper Lane when he was struck from behind by a vehicle that apparently left the scene of the crash. Investigators believe the crash happened sometime after 8:30 p.m. Sunday and are looking for an early model (2000-2002) Saturn with damage to the right front; it may be light maroon in color with a grey pinstripe. The identity of the victim, a middle-aged white male, is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
Troopers are urging anyone with information regarding the crash to contact them immediately at 251-660-2300.
