DAPHNE, Ala. — St. Paul’s Thrift Shop will hold its fourth annual holiday sale in Malone Hall at the St. Paul Episcopal Church. Hours are Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. St. Paul Episcopal Church is located at 28788 N. Main St.

Thrift shop volunteers hold back items throughout the year specifically for this event, holiday sale Chairman Kathy Mallory said.

“The sale includes brand new items that have been donated: nice jewelry, like sterling silver and 14-karat gold pieces, and dresses with the tags still attached, among other items,” Mallory said.

“We set up a whole new shop in the church,” she added.

The thrift shop has everything from clothes and house wares, to linens and shoes, according to St. Paul’s Thrift Shop Co-Manager Robbin Fowler.

The shop — which celebrated its 30th anniversary this past summer — donates all of its profits to the community, said Linda Monley, a co-manager.

The thrift shop honors vouchers and helps families that are in situations where they need help — such as families burned out of their homes, cancer patients or those in shelters, Monley said.

The thrift shop also donates items to organizations where they can be of use, Monley said.

There is a covered drop-off location at the back of the building and people bring things every day of the week, according to Monley.
