Adam Lavaughn Hollinger, 86, a native of Uriah and a long time resident of Spanish Fort, died Thursday, March 11, 2010.
He was a World War II veteran and he was a POW for 14 months in Germany.
He was a proud member of the Inaugural Honor Flight.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Louise Hollinger.
Survivors include a son, Dr. Faron L. (Marsha B.) Hollinger of Spanish Fort; daughter, Peggy L. Hollinger of Spanish Fort; two grandchildren, Jeremy (Brie) Hollinger of Mobile, Jonathan (Amber) Hollinger of Daphne; five great-grandchildren, Jackson, Tyler, Ella, Alli and Ian; sister, Earnestine Lundy of Mobile; brother, Buster Hollinger of Uriah; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation begins at 1 p.m. with funeral services at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 14 from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home.
