Eldred Jake Hollingsworth, 70, of Walnut Hill, Fla., died Monday, May 12, 2008 at his residence.

He was a maintenance planner with Monsanto Chemical, born in Nokomis, Fla., on April 7, 1938 to Jack C. and Bessie Joyner Hollingsworth.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Tony E. Hollingsworth.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia P. Hollingsworth of Walnut Hill, Fla.; three daughters, Vickie (Mike) Hutchins of Pace, FL, Gabby (Tim) Dortch of Nokomis, Fla., and Vanessa (Randy) Stokes of Birmingham; daughter-in-law, Lori Hollingsworth of Panama City, Fla.; two brothers, DeWayne Hollingsworth of Walnut Hill, Fla., and Paul Hollingsworth of Robertsdale; sister, Thelma Heathcock of Nokomis, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Brandon (Cindy) Dortch and Caleb Dortch, all of Nokomis, FL, Jake Hollingsworth and Myles Hollingsworth, both of Auburn, Hill Stokes of Birmingham, Brent Hutchins and Blake Hutchins, both of Pace, FL; and two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Mary Ruth Dortch, both of Nokomis, FL.

Services were held Wednesday, May 14 from the chapel of Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home with the Rev. John Brannon officiating. Burial followed at Hollingsworth Family Cemetery.

Grandsons were the pallbearers.

Arrangements were made by Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc., Atmore.
