Janet Marie Mateer Hollyfield, 85, a native of Pennsylvania and a resident of Bay Minette, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008 at her residence.
She was a retired bookkeeper with the health care industry. She volunteered her time at North Baldwin Infirmary and with the American Red Cross and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, William Ray Hollyfield of Bay Minette; one son, Gary W. Barrick of Lakeland, Fla.; daughter, Judith K. Pflum of Madison; brother, Wayne W. Mateer of Huntington, Pa.; one granddaughter, Karen Keenan of China; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21 at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bruce Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 338, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
