Holy Spirit Thrift store donates $2,500 to South Baldwin Literacy Council

GULF SHORES — Holy Spirit Thrift Shop recently donated $2,500 to the South Baldwin Literacy Council.

The South Baldwin Literacy is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing literacy instruction to help people in South Baldwin make a better life for themselves and their families. The funding will be used to purchase new instructional materials for literacy  tutors and learners, both youth and adults. 

The services of the Literacy Council are offered to all adults and youth in the area at no cost.

The Holy Spirit Thrift Shop is an outreach ministry of Holy Spirit Episcopal Church in Gulf Shores.  Located at 6786 Highway 59, the Thrift Shop is open a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturdays. 

Proceeds from the sale of donated clothes, furniture, books and small household items benefit non-profit charitable organizations in Baldwin County. For additional information or to volunteer, call Alicia at the Holy Thrift Shop 251-968-2797.
