Carol Price Howard, 70, a native of Florence and resident of Fairhope, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009.
She was a graduate of Auburn University and University of North Alabama. She was an accountant for many years and retired from McGriff, Dowdy & Associates, Huntsville. She was a nationally known designer of smocking plate designs and locally well known jewelry designer; enjoyed crafts and was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Social Sorority.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Elizabeth Price Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur G. Howard Jr. of Fairhope; three sons, Arthur G. (Julee) Howard III of Fairhope, Christopher C. (Bonnie) Howard of Madison and Michael M. (Leelie) Howard of Memphis, Tenn.; two sisters, Janet Price Ingleright of Huntsville and Linda Price Clemons of Garland, Texas; brother, Albert “Buddy” Price III of Jacksonville, Fla.; and six grandchildren, Arthur G. Howard IV, Olivia M. Howard, Cecilia M. Howard, June E. Howard, C. Price Howard and Garrett M. Howard.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Florence. Burial will follow at Greenview Memorial Park in Florence.
