Anna Rebecca Dean Howard, born April 6, 1918 in Eliska, died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008, in Fairhope.
She was a native of Monroe County, a former resident of Mobile, and a resident of Fairhope since 1968.
She graduated from Frisco City High School and attended business school in Montgomery.
She worked at Vanity Fair in Monroeville in the cutting department and the Vanity Fair office. She was employed as a bookkeeper at Devan Ford Motor Company in Mobile and a bookkeeer for Mobile Beauty and Barber Supply and also worked for Gaston Ford in Fairhope.
She was a member of the Fairhope United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years Herman Lloyd “H.L.” Howard.
Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca-Dianna Howard (Bill) Lambert of Fairhope.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with funeral services at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 26 at Fairhope United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
