ELBERTA, Ala. — During the April Elberta Town Council Meeting, Councilman Michael Hudson renewed his request for resident input on Foley High School overcrowding.
Hudson suggested in March that a high school be placed in Elberta, adding that the town’s population should make locating a new secondary school there a higher priority than in Orange Beach.
During the April Council Meeting, town officials discussed the issue of acquiring land for such a project.
“Land’s not the issue,” Hudson said. “There are plenty of people who would donate land for a high school.”
The Council revisited its idea of asking a group of Elberta residents to attend next week’s Baldwin County Public Schools public input meeting. The meeting will be held 6 p.m. Tuesday at Foley High School to discuss issues pertaining to schools in the South Baldwin area.
