Huey Long Collins

Huey was the youngest of five children, born in Magnolia Springs, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Blanche Weeks, Rose Weeks; and brothers, William Collins and Berth Collins.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Jeannie Collins; son, Dean Collins; daughter, Lt. Col. Kelly R. Collins, USAF; niece, Sally Patterson; nephews, Rickey Weeks, Ray Weeks, Ronnie Joe Weeks, Mike Collins, Russell Collins; and a host of great-nieces and nephews as well as other relatives and friends.
Huey retired from four different career fields. He spent 22 years in the United States Air Force, he was a rancher in Martha, Oklahoma, a landscaper and delivered the U.S. mail by boat on the Magnolia Springs River for 13 years.
He was very generous and always helped anyone who needed him.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, Feb. 9, 2018 at 11:15 a.m. from St. John's Catholic Church in Magnolia Springs, Alabama.
Interment immediately followed in the church cemetery.
