ELBERTA, Alabama – Officers arrested an indecent exposure suspect at the Elberta police station Sept. 28 late in the afternoon. According to reports, the suspect has victimized two minors since Sept. 20.

The police department would not release or confirm specifics about the alleged offender or the victims.
“Due to allegations of another minor victim, whose parent has yet to do a report or warrant, the department will not be inclined to confirm any photo or identity of the offender,” the release read. “In so doing, we could taint the victim being able to identify the offender for prosecution.”
The first incident occurred two weeks ago, with the victim’s parents filing a report with Elberta police the following day. The young victim identified the offender Sept. 24, three days later. A warrant was issued Sept. 26, with an arrest made two days later. Another investigation is ongoing for a similar assault.
