Inez M. Collins, age 80, a native of Marion, Ala., and a resident of Silverhill, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2013.
Mrs. Collins was a graduate of Alabama College for Women (Montevallo) and was a retired teacher from the Baldwin County School System. She was a member of the Alpha Delta Kappa Honorary Society and a member of the Silverhill First Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her son, Charles D. Collins Jr. and her parents, Mr. & Mrs. V.G. Middlebrooks. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charles D. Collins Sr. of Silverhill,; two sons, Frank G. (Felicia C.) Collins of Marion, Ala., and George A. (Betsy P.) Collins of Fairhope; one daughter-in-law, Jennifer Foster Collins of Silverhill; one sister, Ola Mae Farmer of Gadsden; one brother, Eugene Middlebrooks of Selma; six grandchildren, Jeremy F. Collins, Jessica C. Porterfield, Casey A. Collins, Charles L. Collins, Jacob D. Collins and Sarah E. Collins and three great-grandchildren, Gavin Collins, Hayden Collins and Carter Collins. Funeral services will be held, Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Silverhill First Baptist Church with burial in Fairhope Memory Gardens. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 8, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Mack Funeral Home.
