INGE

Samuel Williams Inge Sr., 80, a native of Mobile and resident of Fairhope, died Oct. 17, 2009.

He was a graduate of Murphy High School, the Univesity of Alabama and the University of Alabama School of Law. He was a lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force and a Korean War veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herndon Inge Sr. and Margaret Erwin Inge; brothers, Zebulon Montgomery Pike Inge and John Erwin Inge.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Marie Sheldon Inge; three sons, Ralph Tilney Sheldon (J’Anne) Inge, Samuel Williams (Helen) Inge Jr. and Cortlandt Livingston Phillip Butler (Amy) Inge; three grandchildren, Marie Camille Inge, Matthew Taylor Inge and Ralph Tilney Sheldon Inge Jr., all of Mobile; four siblings, Emogene Inge Fulton, Herndon (Alice) Inge Jr., Molly Inge Crown, Coleman Francis (Jean) Inge; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. with a memorial service at 3 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 20 at Wolfe Funeral Home in Fairhope.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Ecumenical Ministries Inc., 564 Fairhope Ave., Fairhope, AL 36532.
