Irene Pittman Foley Harmon, 86, a native of Rosinton and a resident of Robertsdale, died Sunday, May 8, 2011.
She was a long time employee for City of Robertsdale Utility Department. She was also a life long member of the Bethel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Leonard “Wash” Foley and Tom Harmon; brother, Rudolph Pittman; sister, Jimmie Lee Price; son-in-law Stephens Tapia; and grandson, Alton Bascom Hankins IV.
Survivors include four daughters, Rita (Ray) Reeves of Magnolia Springs, Nita (Richard) Strickland of Gainesville, Ga., Joan (Dennis) Stastka of Robertsdale and Pamela Tapia of Fairhope; sister, Voncile Myers of Pensacola, Fla.; bother, Herbert Pittman of Rosinton; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 10 at Mack Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 11 at Bethel Baptist Church, Robertsdale, with the Rev. Mitch Nelson, the Rev. James Gibson and the Rev. Raymond Bishop officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Brian Postle, Chad Postle, Darren Neuschwander, Ray Bertolla, Jamie Hardy and Jason Mann.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Bethel Baptist Disaster Relief Fund for Tuscaloosa or the Youth Department, P.O. Box 908, Robertsdale, AL 36567.
