GULF SHORES - A headline in today's Islander on page 2A should have said: Ron Kutter seeks to win Place 1 on Gulf Shores Council.

Joe Garris, a lifelong resident and business owner in Gulf Shores, is the incumbent in Place 1 and has held the seat since 2004, winning the election that year and retaining his seat unopposed in 2008.

The Islander regrets the error and is glad to set the record straight.
