Chrislyn Ritter from Mrs. Tammy Shirley’s first grade class at Gulf Shores Elementary School is experimenting with balance by using materials such as an arch and a triangle. In Mrs. Shirley’s first grade class, the students are learning about Balance and Motion through AMSTI science investigations. They are learning terms such as counterweights and balance point and observing their meanings. They will also get to do an activity called the Pencil Trick with a pencil and a piece of wire. What fun it is in FIRST GRADE!
