Ivan Randolph Harber, “Uncle Ivan,” a native of Dumas, Miss. and resident of Foley, died Monday, June 3, 2013. He was 87 years old.
Mr. Harber retired from the Naval Aviation Depot Pensacola in 1984. He spent the last 30 years of his life pursuing the things he loved and bringing joy to the people he touched.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Harber; son, Randy (Nancy) Harber of Pensacola; daughters, Karen (Jim) McKinney of Daphne and Melissa Harber of Foley; granddaughters, Courtney McKinney of Daphne and Mardi Harber of Pensacola; great-granddaughter, Ansley Bain of Daphne; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Pine Rest Funeral Home in Foley. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2013 at the chapel of Pine Rest Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Pine Rest Memorial Park.
The family suggests memorial contributions in the name of Mr. Ivan Harber be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th Floor, New York, NY .
