Jack C. Sims III, age 73, born in Pensacola, Fla., longtime resident of Daphne, Ala. and most recently residing in Foley, Ala., passed away Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Jr. and Margaret Sims; and his brother, Andy Sims.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sharon Palma Sims; daughter, Janine (Karl) Parker; grandchildren, Jason Kyle Parker and Ashton (Dustin) Schell; great-granddaughter, Britleigh Anne Schell; his sister, Jan Horsefield; brothers, Sam and Jim Sims; mother-in-law, Bea Bailey Rivers; and uncle, Andrew Sims.
Jack retired from the USAF as a master sergeant. He was also a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Hadji Shrine Temple and an avid sports fan, both as a participant and a spectator.
There will be a military funeral service at Barrancas National Cemetery (Naval Air Station, 1 Cemetery Road Pensacola, FL 32508) on Friday, Sept. 25 at 12:30 p.m. All who plan to attend should be sure to bring ID to show at the gate.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local animal shelter in Jack’s name.
