Jack Edward Rogers, 71, resident of Orange Beach, died Monday, Sept. 27, 2010.
He graduated from Auburn University and was a longtime resident of Birmingham. He recently retired after a successful career in transportation. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and a beloved family man.
Survivors include his wife, Patti A. Rogers of Orange Beach; son, Jack E. Rogers Jr. of Forestville, Calif.; two daughters, Lee (David) Milstead of Fairhope and Tracy (Mark) Ross (Mark) of Birmingham; grandchildren, Delia Rogers, Christian Milstead, Madison Fields and Joshua Fields; sister, Cherry R. Bayliss of Birmingham; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 1 from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope.
Arrangements are by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., Fairhope.
