Jack R. Williams Sr., 80, passed away Feb. 3, 2015 at the McNairy Health Care Center in Selmer, Tenn.
He was born in Haverhill, Mass., the son of Kenneth and Helen Williams.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, June Lopez Williams; and a sister, Betty Williams of Haverhill, Mass.
Jack was a man of many talents. In his early years living in Greenville, Miss. with June, his passions ranged from serving in the USAF, auto mechanic to underwater diving inspections.
Upon retirement, they resided in Gulf Shores until June’s death in October 2012.
Jack was a quiet but humorous, loving and devoted husband and father.
He is survived by two sons, Jack R. Williams Jr. of Selmer, Tenn. and Jay B. Williams of Gulf Shores; four grandchildren, Lauren, Reed, Wes and Madison; three brothers, Stanley, Wayne and Kenneth Williams; and a host of nephews and nieces living in the Massachusetts area.
Services will be held in Gulf Shores at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the McNairy Healthcare Center Activity Department, Highway 64 Bypass, Selmer, TN 38375, or to Jesus Cares, 120 W. Court, Selmer, TN 38375.
