MOBILE, Ala. – On Friday evening, the Baldwin County Tigers and the Williamson Lions played a tough first half of football. The Lions held a slim 8-7 lead at the half. Unfortunately the Lions took out all their frustrations of a three game losing streak on BCHS and scored 33 unanswered points in the second half, including 26 in the third quarter alone while defeating the Tigers by a final score of 41-13.
Chris Caldwell scored four touchdowns and rushed for 126 yards for the Lions. Derrick White contributed 132 total yards and had two pass receptions for scores, one for 21 yards and another for 66 yards. Marcus Riley completed six of 13 passes for 129 yards and his backup Nathan Jones was 11 of 22 for 113 yards as the Lions ground game and aerial attack were hitting on all cylinders.
BCHS scored its lone first half touchdown on a 20 yard toss to Quinton Butler and Damon Scott had 58 total rushing yards including a 19 yard scamper for a score for the Tigers.
Baldwin County High was plagued by miscues again this week as they fumbled the ball three times and lost all three. The Tigers 0-7 overall and 0-5 in region action will entertain Satsuma on Friday at 7 p.m., while the Williamson Lions 2-5 and 2-3 in region play, will visit Foley this Friday.
