Archie Ray Jackson, 50 of Atmore, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2007 at his residence.
He was a proud employee of Masland Carpets as a supervisor for several years, born in Bronx, NY March 20, 1957 to William Royce and Lillian McGhee Jackson. He was a member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Royce Jackson and one son, Christopher Ray Jackson and one grandson, Anthony O’Brien Mock.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Fortune Jackson; two sons, Archie Ray (fiancee Amber McGhee) Jackson Jr. and Kenneth Ray (fiancee Jenni Lynn Hallf) Jackson; two daughters, Deborah Jackson (Jamie) Ramer and Jennifer Rae (fiance Jeffery Case) Jackson, all of Atmore; brother, Ronnie Ray Jackson of Bay Minette; sister, Wanda Sue Jackson of Atmore; and five grandchildren, Chelsey Ramer, Bo Ramer, Anna Belle Ramer, Jayle Jackson and Brayden Jackson.
Services were held Friday, Nov. 16 from the chapel of Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home with Dewayne Williams officiating. Burial followed at New Home Cemetery at Poarch.
Active pallbearers were, Robbie Barrows, Willie Dukes, Kenny Thomas, Wesley Jackson, Danny Jackson and Lynn Cumbie. Honorary pallbearers were, Otis James, Eddie Presley, Jeffery Homan, Chuck Pugh, Daniel Pugh, Robbie Meadows, Marty Meadows and Eric Welch.
Arrangements were made by Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Atmore.
